Designed for those that will be working under a Master Groomer. If you know the salon you will be working at upon graduation then this program is for you. It covers the basics of the trade in styling, handling, and breed knowledge. All the essentials of working with other peoples pets are covered including but not limited to such things as Pet CPR, FIRST AID, PEST CONTROL, CAT GROOMING, CLIPPING AND SETTING BASIC PATTERNS, SCISSORING AND FINISHING TECHNIQUES...... Most of the students class time is spent practicing on pets although there are lectures, demonstrations, and

Most of the students that graduate form this program begin their own business soon after graduation. It is designed to be a comprehensive program that will train the student in the necessary skills to professionally groom both dogs and cats and operate a profitable grooming business. Lectures and class discussions on subjects ranging from advertising, how to get a customer base, maintaining good records, identifying breeds and styles, managing, animal handing rules and regulations, equipment purchases, advanced styling.... This program covers everything in the BASIC ALL-BREED PROGRAM and goes far beyond. A common comment heard in this class is "wow, the more I learn the more I see there is to learn, I never realized there was so much or that it would be this exciting." Three types of people take this course, 1) those wanting to own their own businesses, 2) those who will manage, 3) groomers that just want to be the best they can be. Student housing costs per month range from $350.00 for dormitory style to $450.00 for a private room.
Housing is within walking distance of classes, shopping, movies & restaurants. Full kitchens, satellite connections, pool and more in a clean environment.
Our students must do good work since there is a 3 month average wait to get a new customer's pet in the schedule to be groomed.
On weekends our students visit such places as Disney World, Seaworld, Universal Studios, Florida Keys, Lion Country Safari and more.
