Bank Security Training Manual Now Available to Bankers

Branch Security Reference and Training Manual is a newly published comprehensive resource for use at the banking office level. It is designed to assist branch management in implementation of the Bank Protection Act regulations and to provide ongoing security training for banking office employees. The book comes with a diskette in Word and ASCII formats so that it can be customized for individual banks and it updated semi-annually with new material. Design of the book is to assist the bank's security officer and retail banking management:

  • Identify and develop a branch employee for the role of onsite instructor
  • Give each branch trainer a reference guide and training materials customized for the banking office
  • Use the Lesson Activity Sheets and guides as evidence for bank examiners that training and retraining is an ongoing activity
  • Give each employee his or her own copy of the Employee Security Handbook customized and always up-to-date with the latest sound security procedures

This new Manual helps bank management to keep up with the banking industry and regulatory agency changes so that a bank's legally mandated employee security training remains current.

Branch Security Reference and Training Manual is written by RMG consultant Richard Cross and it can be purchased from Sheshunoff Information Services, Inc. 505 Barton Springs Road, Suite 1200, Austin, TX 78704. Telephone orders can be placed at 1-800-456-2340.
