Selected RMG consulting Engagements

First National Bank of Maryland, Baltimore, MD: Conducted an analysis of selected banking offices with respect to bank security equipment meeting regulatory, industry and UL requirements, and preventing crimes of violence such as bank robbery, kidnapping, and attacks on ATM customers. Interviewed banking office employees and analyzed criminal incident statistics. Submitted recommendations to the Bank's security director.

First Tennessee Bank, Memphis, TN: Conducted a review of the Bank's security department and developed a statewide security plan, updating existing security programs, procedures, and physical security equipment. Evaluated the bank's security program vis-a-vis exposure to criminal attacks. Prepared reports recommending various enhancements to the Bank's security program, including its cash distribution center, computer center, alarm protection for banking offices, and access control procedures.

Chase Manhattan Bank, New York, NY: Revised and rewrote the Bank's security manual with a design for worldwide use. The manual included details and instructions on the use of the various physical security equipment devices used by the Bank and general operational security procedures.

Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Reviewed bank security in Saudi Arabia. Developed bank security equipment standards and procedures for SAMA's consideration and implementation within the commercial banking system in Saudi Arabia.

Bankers Trust Company, New York, NY: Conducted a bank security survey of the Bank's high-rise headquarters building and submitted recommendations for enhancement of the physical security for the building. This included access control procedures and security equipment for access control and the detection of intrusions into bank space. Worked with the bank's property managers and architects in designing the recommended systems.

TransWorld Airlines, Los Angeles, CA: Instrumental in the creation of a workers compensation fraud investigations unit. Spearheaded workers compensation surveillance nationwide, resulting in substantial recoveries.

Marine Midland Bank, New York, NY: Reviewed and completed an evaluation of vendor proposals for a bank-owned, statewide banking office alarm system. This work included an analysis of each vendor proposal against the bank's specifications and a ranking of the vendor proposals according to compliance with the specifications.

Nations Bank (formerly NCNB), Charlotte, NC: Conducted a management review of the Bank's security department functions and staffing with respect to the Bank's expansion into additional market areas. Submitted recommendations for the security department's organization.

Bank Administration Institute, Rolling Meadows, IL: Developed and presented a series of one-day workshops on fraud prevention for bankers in various cities across the U.S. The program focused upon bank security internal controls used to minimize loan, check and ATM fraud, and embezzlement.

ITT Sheraton Corporation, Boston, MA: Assisted in the review, re-writing and codification of ITT Sheraton hotel security standards and practices for world-wide use.

Sullivan and Cromwell, New York, NY: Completed a physical security survey of law firm offices located in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Paris, and London.

Miller Brewing Company, Milwaukee, WI: Completed surveys at brewing facilities located in the U.S. Work included examinations of plan facility physical security and internal property controls.

Andersen Consulting, St. Charles, IL: Planned and implemented the security, medical and emergency procedures for the firm's Global Conference Seminar attended by over 6,000 participants.

Mariner Sands, Stuart, FL: Conducted an in-depth physical security survey of this large gated country club community. Work included an analysis of access control procedures, perimeter protection, and the community's central station alarm system.

First Interstate Bank of California, Los Angeles, CA: Directed operations at First Interstate Bank building in Los Angeles during disaster recovery operations following a fire which caused the 62 story building to be vacated for nine months.
