"Winnie", a four year old standard poodle, looks none too happy with her role as mommy in this picture. She had spent the previous six weeks diligently caring for seven puppies and was ready to move on to new adventures!

"Winnie" lives in Jupiter, FL with her mom, Helen.
She now spends her days as a therapy dog in nursing homes and summer camp programs.
This fall she will be visiting schools to teach children about humane education.
On her days off she loves playing ball, working on obedience training, and protecting the house from frog and lizard invasions!

The runner up in the photo contest is "Holly" Suits.
"Holly" is a miniature schnauzer. Her parents, Trudy and Chuck Suits, adore this little cutie! They tell us that "Holly" is holding her favorite toy, Tigger (from Winnie the Pooh), which she carries everywhere.
