Partnering Intelligence: Creating Value for Your
Business by Building Strong Alliances (Davies-Black Publishing, Oct. 1999)
|
 |
By Stephen
M. Dent
Just as IQ
is shorthand for mental intelligence and EQ refers to emotional intelligence,
Stephen Dent describes and defines PQ – Partnering Intelligence. Whether a
merger, acquisition, building an alliance or partnership with another key
organizations, or building an internal partnership, between departments or with
suppliers or a union, businesses are forming alliances in record numbers. Yet
most only stand a 50/50 chance of success. With over 20 instruments,
questionnaires, and self-assessments, this indispensable toolkit includes
everything managers and executives need to beat the odds. From multinationals
and mid-sized firms, to the mom-and-pops next door, real life examples
demonstrate the power of partnerships in action and show how to implement them
to create value for your business.
Partnering
Intelligence features the partnering model, the Partnership Continuum,
that , when used by people with a high PQ, enables them to create smart
partnerships, adding value and potential to any business and personal endeavor.
