Lake Okeechobee is internationally known for bass fishing. It is also an incredibly beautiful home for millions of birds. It's 467,200 acres are seasonal and year round habitats for wading birds like ibis, herons and woodstorks, as well as diving birds like cormorants and anhingas. The lakeshore provides safe haven for caracaras, bald eagles, ospreys, hawks, and black vultures.
