North American Communications Group, Inc., ("NACG" and "the Company"), headquartered in Jupiter, Florida, has begun operations to provide low-cost ubiquitous coverage for one-way data messaging throughout the midwest and southeast USA. The Company currently holds 143 transmitter radio licenses within an area that covers from Milwaukee to Nashville and from Pittsburgh to Kansas City. This service area was secured by filing with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for transmitter sites in strategic locations that precluded any competitive filings within these boundaries. The total coverage area is approximately 160,000 square miles and encompasses a population base exceeding 46 million people. The completion of this system will permit paging, enhanced services, voice mail and the transmission of data, to be sold throughout the above mentioned area.
THE TECHNOLOGY
931 Mhz frequencies are ideally suited for paging, data and E-mail. The system has been designed to use the latest in technology (FLEX) tm*, which will enable the system to handle up to 600,000 subscribers. This technology also provides a tremendous opportunity to perform countless command and control (C&C) functions.
