This traditional course features tree-lined fairways in its design. The somewhat fast greens are small and undulating, and marshes come into play on several holes. In March of 1995 this club hosted Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 7th "Best New Private Course" in America for 1995, and selected it as the 10th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. "Golf Magazine" named it 80th best out of the "Top 100 Courses in the United States" for 1995 and 99th for 1997.
