Dan L. Burrell, Ed.D. is the Senior Pastor of Berean Baptist Church and Superintendent of Berean Christian Schools. A native of Moberly, MO, he moved to West Palm Beach in 1983. Dr. Burrell has held several positions in Berean ministries including: high school teacher, school administrator, young couples pastor and called to assume the position of Senior Pastor in 1990. He holds multiple degrees in education including a M.S. from Pensacola Christian College and an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University.

During Dr. Burrell's pastorate at Berean Baptist, the church has experienced exceptional growth and the church is now holding two Sunday morning services and will soon begin construction on a 1,000 seat Worship Center. He also remains active in issues of Christian education, serving as the Superintendent of Berean Christian Schools which enrolls approximately 650 students. Recently, Dr. Burrell was appointed to succeed Dr. A. C. Janney as the President of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools which represents over 200 schools and nearly 55,000 students and teachers.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Dr. Burrell frequently writes for several Christian periodicals and lectures around the country on issues of family, marriage and education.
