Many people have questions about salvation, baptism and
church membership--this is not unusual. Several of the most frequently asked questions are
listed below, along with the answers to those questions. If after reading this section you
still have questions, please call our church office at 798-9300.
Are there different ways to join? Yes.
- By professing faith in Jesus Christ and following Him in
baptism by immersion.
- By transfer of membership from another church of like faith
and practice.
- By your statement of faith in Christ, and your willingness to
be baptized by immersion if you have not been baptized since trusting Christ.
What about my children?
Children receive special treatment! When a child is ready to make a decision, he/she may
come forward during the invitational hymn. He/she will be greeted by a minister and a
member who specializes in children. Parents may also call the church office and schedule
an appointment for someone to visit with their child and explain salvation and baptism.
Children under the age of 18 must have their parent's permission to be baptized.
May I join a Bible study and not the church?
Many do; however, this is not church membership. It is one way to get to know some of the
church family and learn more about our church and God's plan for your life.
