Berean Baptist Church believes that individuals need to worship God, for it is in worship that we commune with Him, grow in Him, respond in Him, and offer our praise and thanksgiving to Him. Personal and corporate worship is something that God desires and that we need. God has chosen music and the arts as an expression of worship to Him. In addition to this, what we do in music and worship carries the great news of Christ to all people who see and hear.

Your gifts in the arts and worship are God’s gifts to you. They are unique to you and serve a special purpose in God’s plan. It is exciting to know that God uses people like you and me for eternal purposes! Please read the following ministry opportunities and plan to become involved as soon as possible.

Fine Arts Ministry - Adult Choir

The Adult choir is made up of a group of people who love the Lord and have chosen to use their talents as a way of expressing praise and honor to the Lord Jesus Christ. Worshipping the Lord through the arts is part of their commitment and devotion to God. The Lord has called us all to do everything with excellence and under His anointing. Without His touch, all we attempt will be in vain. We can only participate in corporate worship if we are each spending quality time with the Savior in personal worship.

Our Adult Choir will worship in song on a weekly basis, during the two Sunday morning services. Choir members may sing in one of the two morning service, or both. In addition the Adult Choir is an important part of all events such as Christmas Productions, Easter Productions, Nights of Praise concerts, and many other special Worship Services. The ability to read music is helpful, but not necessary. No audition is necessary, just a willing heart to use their talents to help lead the Church to experience God.

Fine Arts Ministry - Children’s Choir

Preschool/Children’s/Preteen Choirs are vital ministries at Berean Baptist Church. The program will consist of a comprehensive Preschool program starting with age 3 to Kindergarten, a Children’s program for grades 1-3, and the Pre-teen choir for grades 4-6. the choirs will perform a musical in both the Spring and Fall that coincides with spiritual and musical objectives learned throughout the semester. All choirs meet on Sunday afternoons, September through the end of May, at 5:30 for an incredible time of learning, fellowship and fun!

Fine Arts Ministry - Drama Team

Our Christmas and Easter presentations, Freedom Celebrations and Nights of Praise provide opportunities to present the gospel message in a unique fashion. This ministry enriches the message of song or sermon series for those who know Christ and is a tool for reaching people who have not heard the Gospel message. This ministry will involve actors of all ages as well as people with script writing and directing skills. Put your talents to work for God’s Kingdom in this exciting ministry.

Can you hammer a nail, climb a ladder, paint a wall, sew a seam, apply make-up, prepare and serve food, clean- up, or work on a stage crew? The fine Arts Ministries involve many faithful servants working behind the scenes. Building props and sets requires people with knowledge of tools and construction, but also provides opportunities for those who want to learn. Little is much when God is in it! Everyone can be used of God to further His Kingdom.
