Martin Memorial Health Systems - Medical Center is a community-owned not-for-profit organization. Martin Memorial puts the patient first without having to worry about the potentially competing interests of stockholders. Martin Memorial Health Systems is comprised of a family of services including Martin Memorial Medical Center, Martin Memorial South, six Medi-Centers, a Diagnostic Center, as well as offering Home Health and transportation services throughout Martin and St. Lucie Counties. Martin Memorial Medical Center (561) 287-5200 was established in 1939 and is situated in Stuart on the banks of the St. Lucie River. It is a 236 bed acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services, including cancer and cardiac care, a 24-hour emergency department, maternity and pediatrics. Both facilities share the same medical staff, numbering more than 225 physicians on staff, with more than 80% of these Board Certified; nearly 2,000 employees and almost 1,000 volunteers. The Womens Center of Martin County provides modern child birthing facilities and health care for women.
