MONEY Magazine's January 1996 issue ranked Martin County School District among the "Top 100 School Districts in the Nation." The article highlighted a number of key attributes of the school district including: widespread community support, enthusiastic teachers, involved, parents, innovative but not trendy administrators and high expectations for all students.

In 1995-96, there were 541 graduates (a 70.85% high school graduation rate) in Martin County; with 65% continuing education.

Florida Atlantic University is one of the nine state universities in Florida and serves a seven county area stretching from Indian River County in the north, Broward County in the south and west to Okeechobee County. FAU offers a variety of degree programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The University has campuses in Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, Port St. Lucie, Davie, Ft. Lauderdale and Dania. Martin County Adult Education provides a tremendous resource of continuing community and vocational education to county residents.
