Dan Cowan founded and served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Infosearch, Inc., based in Albany, NY with branches in 22 State Capitals, America's largest full-service public information filing and document Retrieval Company. Infosearch, established by Cowan in 1964, provided vital commercial and governmental information to legal and financial professionals was sold to Simon and Schuster in 1986.
He also founded and served as Chairman and CEO of several other firms, including Danco Gourmet International, a direct response food business; Infopress, Inc. printers; and the advertising Agency Daniel Thomas Associates. He has owned an office equipment leasing firm and Danco Realty, which specializes in commercial property investments and condominium management.
A graduate of the Smaller Company Management Program of the Harvard School of Business Administration, Cowan is an active, award-winning civic leader. He serves as a trustee of Russell Sage College and is a former International President of the International Association of Printing House Craftsmen.
